Tactile and intuitive: Verner Panton’s 80s Wire Stool transforms into a side table with marble addition.
The Wire Stool captures the essence of Verner Panton’s affinity for geometric shapes, repeated patterns and use of wire as a visual conduit for his creations. Designed 1981 by Panton, and re-introduced in 2024 by &Tradition, the Wire Stool was originally conceived as a multifunctional piece, a chair that’s equally suitable as a side table. Now a solid marble tabletop add-on bolsters the stools credentials as a table.
Precisely milled to shape, the new tabletop follows the contours of the Wire Stool. Available in two variants, Nero Marquina and Bianco Carrera, the marble add-on introduces an additional level of tactility to Panton’s design.

Care Instructions
The marble and travertine used on &Tradition products are treated with a light sealer which makes them more stain resistant than if left untreated. It is highly recommended to re-seal once a year using an appropriate product developed specifically for stone or marble. For daily care, it is recommended to use a cleaning agent developed specifically for stone or marble. Always use a trivet or coaster and do not place glasses or cups with liquids directly onto the tabletop. Due to their natural composition, marble and travertine are porous and prone to staining if spilt liquids are not removed immediately. It is therefore important to note that acidic liquids are extremely damaging to the surface of the stone. The marble used on lighting products has no surface protection and is therefore more susceptible to stains and marks. It is recommended to only clean marble on lighting products with a soft, dry cloth. In case more severe cleaning is required, use a cleaning agent specifically developed for stone or marble. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive cleaning detergents as this will permanently damage the surface.
